The CSI season finale is taking advantage of the interactive nature of the internet. CBS.com has created an interactive site that allows fans to “investigate” the crime. You can zoom in on the scene to try and discover clues to the crime. This is a way to excite and entice the viewers for the finale.

The two part season finale focuses on a man accused of murdering his wife and co-workers, who then leads the CSI team on a wild ride through a busy casino, eventually barricading himself and a hostage in a casino hotel room. One of the CSI's eventually steps in as a hostage negotiator, putting himself in danger. The cliffhanger is the shooting of Detective Brass that will conclude on May 18th.

CBS is also, for the season finale promotion, offering CSI's producers' two favorite episodes as free streams. This is being done through their main site not innertube that was set up last week as CBS's streaming channel.

CSI is one of CBSs most popular show, even though it has been slipping overall due, in my opinion, to the overkill of the forensic drama on all the networks. Similar to the medical shows a few years back.
