Internet only shows that connect to television shows seems to be becoming a regular thing. FOX, NBC, CBS and USA all have shows online that are an offshoot or a promotion of a regular show. Just because its shows aren’t scripted dramas doesn’t mean that Food Network can’t join the crowd.
Food Network is preparing to launch its second web based show. Dave Lieberman will host his second online show for the Food Network starting on August 14th. His first web show, Eat This, was a huge success for Food Network.com receiving more than 1 million visitors in the first two weeks.
Lieberman is a busy man for the Food Network. He has a show on their regular channel called Good Deal which highlights tips on cooking and entertaining within a budget. His new web show Dave Does was featured on TV.com News.
The Dave Does Web series will consist of 13 five-minute webisodes, accompanied with additional bonus footage and features. Sprint customers will be able to watch video from Dave Does on their cell phones.
Shooting for the series began last week and will include stops in Boston, Philadelphia, New York, and Portland, Oregon.
Dave Does will be interactive with the viewers. The premise of the show has Lieberman give tips on dining in select cities. The show wants your input on different topics and different types of dining experiences in several US cities. You can give your two cents about the topics and cities found on this link.
