In2TV Launches Three New Channels

AOL

We´ve posted about IN2TV before. AOL´s advertising-supported VOD service is a pretty fun way to catch up on some old television, if you´re in a region that allows access to it. Recently, In2TV has added some new channels for users to enjoy.

In2TV has created three new streaming channels carrying older television. As AOL is connected to Warner Bros., almost all of their content is provided by its studio but they claim to be working on deals with other content providers. The three new channels are: "The Superman Channel," "Gone But Not Forgotten TV" and "Get Real TV". All of these were launched around July 1st.

"The Superman Channel" is devoted to, obviously, Superman. It is also a marketing push for Superman Returns. The channel´s content includes: "Look, Up in the Sky! The Amazing Story of Superman," a documentary from A&E which will premiere on the new channel. The documentary, which is narrated by Kevin Spacey (who has a starring role in Superman Returns) features behind the scenes from the new movie, interviews with Stan Lee, and interviews with celebrity Superman fans; The original television series "The Adventures of Superman," starring George Reeves; "Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman," starring Teri Hatcher and Dean Cain and other Superman themed shows.

"Gone But Not Forgotten TV" channel is as described, shows that may have a cult following or critical acclaim but were cancelled. Shows like “The Max Headroom Show" or "The Michael Richards Show". NBC Universal´s Bravo channel has a similar site, BrilliantButCancelled.com but it doesn´t have near the amount of content.

The last channel is geared toward reality TV and is called "Get Real TV". Mainly it carries shows that never made it past the pilot or older court shows, like "The People's Court,". One show, "The Will," from the creator of "The Bachelor," is just tasteless. The premise of a family competing for money gained from a will is probably why it never made it on television. With the exception of the "Amazing Race", I really don´t like a lot of the reality TV, but if it's your thing check it out.
