In2TV Adds 'Our Gang' And More

By Sherri

Proving it still likes to do things a little differently, AOL has taken its broadband TV programming to a new level by reaching into the past, far into the past, to give viewers new choices.
In2TV has rolled out episodes of "Our Gang," the classic 1930's and 1940's show that features the likes of Alfalfa and Buckwheat. About 10 episodes of old-time favorite are available now on the Vintage TV channel.
And, if an Our Gang revival isn't enough to capture attention, In2TV has also rolled out "Off Centre" and "New York Daze," along with the John Stamos vehicle "Thieves."
Meanwhile, AOL's new video portal is up, running and looking awesome. There's a Video on Demand area that offers some great programming from The History Channel, Comedy Central and more. Some videos cost $1.99 to view and others are free.
The site is pretty user friendly, but does favor Internet Explorer users, especially on the high-def downloads. Firefox and Netscape aren't happening on In2TV.
As AOL continues to remodel itself, the offerings for users just keep getting better and better. It will be fun to see how far along the site is a year from now and if the added competition pushes iTunes to continue to improve on its already good model.
AOL just might give it a run for its money. "Our Gang" online ... who would have thought?
