UnboxAmazon Unbox has an offer it thinks TV fans won't be able to refuse.

New users to the site can check out a DVD quality television episode free of charge. Granted, that's just a $1.99 gift, but still, trying something for free is a heck of a lot better than paying for it!

The Unbox offer does come with a few caveats, however. You do have to download the Unbox Video Player, which takes seconds on a broadband connection and a few minutes or so to set up. With that done, you'll still need to create an account, complete with billing information. If you have an Amazon account, however, that one is valid for the transaction.

Unbox only works on Windows based computers right now, but downloads can be played on the computers, portable devices and even on TVs. The system is still only available to American users, too, which is a downfall.

The lineup on Unbox is similar to iTunes' television, complete with FOX, NBC, Showtime and so on. Plus, it has a fair amount of movies available, too.

All in all, not a bad site and one great offer on the free trial if you don't mind adding another program to your computer.

Check it out here.
