'Dexter' Free Online

If you don't know what the buzz is about, you haven't watched "Dexter." The Showtime original series has been garnering lots of critical acclaim and it's even managed to rope this writer into its spell.

"Dexter's" sort of like watching a train wreck - you want to look away, but you can't.

The show's about a serial killer. But, Dexter's not your average killer; he's different. Dex an antihero in the truest sense of the word. Rather than kill blond haired women, chubby men or little children, Dexter prefers to rid the world of the bad guys one kill at a time, preying on other serial killers, rapists and the like. This, of course, leaves viewers wondering if they should be rooting for the killer of killers or be horrified with themselves that they are cheering inside or even out loud.

Dex even has an up on other killers. He's a forensics expert who happens to be employed by the Miami Police Department.

The riveting show is now available online for free, thanks to Showtime. Granted, it's only the first two episodes, but that's just enough to give viewers a good idea of what a roller coaster ride the series is turning out to be.

There's no word on how long the show will remain online for free, so check it out while you can. Otherwise, tune into Showtime on Sunday nights. Chances are this one will go to iTunes soon, but it hasn't yet.
