Few Updates to Google Video Search

By Rob November 12, 2006

Google VideoGoogle recently announced a few more features to the search engine on Google Video, namely the ability to sort your results by top ratings, and to search inside "Labels", Google's term for the Tags users give to videos.

To search by Label, you preface your search term with "Label:". For example label: PS3.

You can now further refine your search by searching within labels:
Let's say you want to find all the videos of Zidane labeled as [soccer] . No problem! Search for [label: soccer zidane], and we'll show you all the Zidane videos that also have the label "soccer".
I can't see myself using extra search operators that much but the sort feature seems like it'll be pretty useful. By default results are ranked by Google's own relevance score, but it's handy to see what other users think is worth watching.
