‘Acceptable TV’ Debuts Tonight

By Sherri
Television fans fed up with the same old, same old in viewing options have a new place to turn for original programming. Jack Black and VH1 are ready to debut their new show “Acceptable TV” tonight at 10/9c.The unusual program features shorts, many made by regular Joes and submitted via the Internet. Viewers can watch the shorts on television and on the Web and then vote for the ones they’d like to see more of.
A countdown clock is currently ticking away over on the “Acceptable TV” site for tonight’s debut and there are tons of videos already up and ready to be checked out. They include shorts created not only by potential viewers, but also the “Acceptable TV” staff.
There’s also a clip up that previews tonight’s debut. It looks like this is going to be a blast to watch.
What's really cool about this particular production is that it puts the power of the Internet to use for creating original viewing content. It puts the power in the hands of creators and viewers.
