‘The Tudors’ Free Online

HBO is well known for its high-priced, well-acted historic series that draw in fans like a magnet. First it was “Deadwood.” Next came “Rome.” Now, Showtime is ready to enter the fray.

“The Tudors,” a period piece that looks simply fantastic, makes its debut on the cable network April 1, but would be fans can check out the first two episodes in advance, and for free. It centers on the life, loves and times of Henry VIII, as portrayed by Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

Showtime has both episodes streaming online right now, so there’s no need to subscribe to the network check them out. Be warned, however, if this series is as good as Showtime’s other series, such as “Dexter,” it will be darn hard not to subscribe.

I haven’t watched the videos as of yet, but I intend to do so very soon. The series starts officially April 1 at 10 p.m. EST.
